Give me Zen… bathroom in the beautiful Japanese-inspired Nobu Ryokan hotel, Malibu
Little bit obsessed with rattan cabinetry lately. This is the super fresh, layered, unique home of interior design Georgia Ezra. And here’s her kitchen:
I love the way Georgia layers old with new, and clean European lines with toasty Eastern textures. Fave parts here: exposed brick wall, vintage timber kitchen island and authentic Persian rug… Oh, and those custom arch-framed windows and french doors.
She does it again in the bathroom – with even more middle eastern opulence, creating a spa-like space. That vanity is unlike anything I’ve seen before – love the simple texture of the soft grey square mosaics against the bold brassiness of the sink. And that custom timber unit – with a little moroccan routed detail, but otherwise simple and modern.
Modern lines and Moroccan influences in the home of stylish young interior architect Georgia Ezra (Studio Ezra)
Beautiful timber-clad bath, creating the feel of a modern Japanese onsen.
I LOVE a steel framed bathroom or laundry sink. More of these, please.
Wish there was a better pic of this one – I have this thing for sinks, and this one is a stand-out.
Homeware brand Pampa have a great series on their blog (Mi Casa), visiting the homes of some of their friends and muses. This is the home of Vanessa Prosser – also available for holiday rental on Air BnB (see more pics here)
More modern rattan love
The homely (in the best way) Copenhagen home of Line Borella (who works for Danish furniture/homeware design legends Menu). I found this on Our Food Stories – a favourite blog of mine – so go here to see more of this place.
The sophistication of walnut and concrete, warmed with burnished copper and a textured rug.
