Another beautiful Scandinavian-meets-Shaker kitchen from my favourite kok, Nordiska Kok. True floor to ceiling linen curtains, drop-leaf dining tables, Hans Wegner wishbone chairs, short marble splashbacks, greige cabinetry… these are a few of my favourite things.
I’d swap the light out for a big paper or linen lantern – to ’round out’ the space, modernise it, and soften it a little.
I really love a short slab splashback – super elegant. Also love here how the inside of the cabinets are beautiful premium wood – making it a delight rather than an annoyance when your husband NEVER CLOSES THE CABINETS.
This sweet little sleep space – via Insta-mum @theworldingray – just caught my eye (and my heart)
An Amsterdam inner-city apartment, created by – and for – design lovers. Strikes the right balance of quiet and elegant, but still fun and dynamic with the sculptural furniture and lighting.
Always a sucker for a trough-style bathroom sink.
Put pretty bags at the door, and fill them with the handfuls of ugly reusable grocery bags you have to remember to take with you. (If you’re reading this, major chain supermarkets, I’m staring meaningfully in your direction.)
Love these humble but high quality little spaces, from home sweet home of interior designer (and blogger at Harlow and James) Chrissy McDonald.
